Welcome to the Hobbit House. This charming eco-friendly home was built by Simon and Jasmine in West Wales with help from passers by and visiting friends. The home took about four months to build. The home was built with maximum regard for the environment and by reciprocation gave the family a unique opportunity to live close to nature! The main tools in creating this amazing home were only a chainsaw, hammer and 1 inch chisel, little else really. Simon let us know that he was not a builder or carpenter, his only experience was “having had a go at one similar house 2yrs before and a bit of mucking around inbetween”. Amazing! The total price tag and hours to build for this gorgeous home? His family esimated 1000-1500 man hours and only around £3000 in materials!
